Help through transitions

I help adults struggling with transitions. The difficulties may relate to changes in physical health, due to injury, illness, age-related changes, or other causes. The distress may be due to conflict or change in close relationships, such as with a partner, child, or elderly parent. I also work with individuals who want to find personal meaning in a demanding career. Across such concerns, I will keep an eye on how you may be able to shift the way you use technologies to support your relationships and health.

My therapeutic approach is foundationally psychodynamic, meaning that we will focus on building your self-understanding and awareness of interpersonal patterns. Beyond insight, we will work towards meaningful change. We will draw on cognitive and behavioral methods to shift negative patterns. The process will be collaborative: We will agree on treatment approaches, taking into account how you've tried to manage related challenges in the past and frequently evaluating if we are working effectively.
